JUNE SERMON SERIES: THE LIFE OF DAVID. 

He began his life as a shepherd, but became a warrior and a king who God describes as “a man after God’s own heart.” But David was also a king whose personal sins devastated his family and his nation. The greatest lesson about David is he points forward to a greater King who is to come. 

5TH SUNDAY SINGSPIRATION - JUNE 29 @ 6 PM

Grissom will host the area-wide Singspiration in June. If you would like to bring special music, please let Wade or Patty know. We will also have a time of fellowship following the service. 

WEDNESDAY EVENING BIBLE STUDY - 6:30 PM

Terry Carter leads a small group Bible study through Paul's letters to Timothy and Titus. Plus, we have a G-Kids Study with Lisa Carter for the younger kids! 

SELF-DEFENSE SMALL GROUP WEDNESDAY @ 6:30 PM

This group meets in the Fellowship Hall and is led by Bud Price. Children ages 8 and up may participate.

FIRED UP: A 5-Week Series from 1 Kings on Elijah

SERIES OVERVIEW:

Fire up the ovens! We're headed to the kitchen to bake up something special. Kitchens are incredible places where the most basic ingredients are transformed into delicious treats. Our faith can be a lot like that, too! In this 5-week series, kids will follow the life of the prophet Elijah, whose ministry involved a lot of fire and bread as he formed a special relationship with God. They'll learn how knowing God helps me find what I need, hears my voice, guides me when I'm scared, comforts me, and is always with me are all the ingredients they need to get fired up!

REMEMBER: our JUNE memory verse is:  “It is written: Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.” (Matthew 4:4 NIV)
