RENEW GRISSOM
RENEW GRISSOM
Something new is happening at Grissom, and it’s impossible to miss.
God is stirring our church in a fresh way. We’re in a season of spiritual momentum, and we believe He is calling us to trust Him more than ever.
In January 2026, we will celebrate 25 years as the Church of Christ at Grissom. Throughout that journey, one thing has always been true: God is faithful.
But this anniversary isn’t just a milestone, it’s a launching pad. We believe God is calling us to trust Him more deeply, to serve Him more boldly, and to prepare ourselves for what He wants to do next.
That is why we are launching RENEW GRISSOM.
Renew Grissom is a strategic, prayer-driven investment in the next generation of ministry.
Our prayer isn’t, “Lord, help us remember the good old days.”
Our prayer is, “Lord, do it again. Do something new.”
Now is the time to step into this next season. Renew Grissom is a forward-leaning step of faith. A declaration that we are preparing our space for what God wants to do next.
Let’s embrace this moment with passion, prayer, and generosity.
The best days at Grissom aren’t coming “someday.”
They’re starting right now.
Projects include:
Fellowship Hall and Restroom updates
Kids and Student Ministry upgrades
Roof replacement and essential building repairs
Auditorium seating, carpet, painting, and stage improvements
Updated signage and exterior refresh
Estimated Total: $182,000.00
To begin moving toward this goal, our church family will unite for three special offerings in 2026:
25th Anniversary Offering on January 18, 2026.
Pentecost Sunday Offering on May 24, 2026.
Thanksgiving Offering on November 22, 2026.
In addition to these special offerings, those who feel led to give above and beyond their regular giving will be able to do so at any time by designating their gift to Renew Grissom.
Church leadership will prayerfully oversee and implement these projects. The generosity of our church family, together with the consistency of our regular giving, will help determine the timing and pace of the work.
WHY RENEW GRISSOM?
God has always been faithful… and He’s not done yet! Our building has served us well for 20+ years. But flooring, seating, lighting, technology, kids spaces, and first-impression areas all need intentional updating. Renew Grissom is an investment in creating a space that welcomes people warmly, engages the next generation, and equips us to minister effectively to our community.
Here is why this project matters:
1 - Our building preaches before we do.
Before anyone hears a sermon or meets a friendly face, they experience our space. A well-designed, cared-for building communicates: “We’re ready for you. We’re growing. God is alive here.” But when areas feel outdated or worn, guests (especially young families) notice. Our building should speak the same message our church is already living: life, health, and expectation!
2 - Environments shape experience.
Guests decide within the first 7 minutes if they’ll return, and most of that impression is visual.
An updated and well-kept building:
Helps guests feel welcomed and safe
Elevates worship and preaching environments
Communicates excellence
When the environment improves, the experience of God’s people grows stronger.
3 - Stewardship IS mission.
Healthy ministry requires healthy spaces. Delaying needed improvements leads to bigger costs later and communicates neglect rather than readiness.
Renewing now:
Protects our facility
Positions us for long-term ministry health
Taking care of the church building is an act of obedience and preparation.
4 - Momentum needs a milestone.
God is already moving at Grissom and moments of momentum need milestones that rally the whole church. Renew Grissom is our chance to:
Take a unified step of faith
Strengthen our commitment to the mission
Build ownership and excitement
Prepare our space for the people God will send next
In short: RENEW GRISSOM aligns our space with our momentum. It prepares our building for the next generation of ministry, discipleship, and mission, and positions us to impact more lives with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
25 DAys of Prayer
January 1-25, 2026
To begin the New Year, we are committing ourselves to seek God together through intentional, focused prayer. Please use the prayer guide below to help us stay aligned as we ask God to RENEW our hearts and shape our future. Each week highlights one of our core practices: Gather, Grow, Give, and Go.
When we pray, God reshapes our priorities, strengthens our unity, and prepares us for the future He is leading us toward.
