When the Storm Comes

APPLICATION QUESTIONS:

The disciples were following Jesus when the storm came. How does that challenge the idea that difficult circumstances mean God is angry with us or has abandoned us? 

When Jesus seemed silent in Mark 4, the disciples asked, “Do you not care?” Have you ever felt that way? What truths about God can you hold onto when you don't feel His presence?

Which of these is hardest for you when you're hurting: running to God, being honest with God, trusting what you know about God, or allowing others to help carry your burden? Why? 

What is one practical step you can take this week to deepen your roots in Christ before the next storm comes?
